Natural Pet Food Group, parent company of Feline Natural, wish to acknowledge the devastating effects of Cyclone Gabrielle in New Zealand, and the impact it has had on the North Island which over the last few days which has been significant.
The Hawke’s Bay region is paramount to Natural Pet Food Group, as it is home to our production & warehousing partners, and our Hawke’s Bay team & retailers.
Whilst the weather system has passed, the resulting impact of the event remains significant. Our thoughts first and foremost are on the safety of the people and pets who the severe weather conditions have impacted.
Whilst are offering direct support to our partners and team in need, we would like to share a list of resources for those who are looking for ways to help those affected.
Helping Us Help Animals
HUHA (Helping Us Help Animals) New Zealand is a charitable trust dedicated to teaching empathy to the community and provide shelter to less fortunate animals that are currently struggling to survive.
HUHA New Zealand currently has emergency animal shelters set up in Auckland and Hawkes Bay, offering temporary accommodation to animals displaced during Cyclone Gabrielle and consequential flooding.

Animal Register
Whether you are in Hawkes Bay or elsewhere, please ensure that your pet’s microchip details are up to date. Auckland Council is currently offering free microchipping and registration of all dogs (both to the NZCAT and the NDD) and is also microchipping small animals affected by the flooding.
