Halloween Treats For Your Feline

Some of the most popular Halloween treats are toxic for our pets – especially chocolate, so there is no better reason to get in the kitchen and make your feline friend their very own tasty treat for the festive season.




Candy Corn Ice Pops

Candy corn is one of the staples of Halloween, so why wouldn’t you want your cat to be able to enjoy them too? Now your pet can get in on the fun with these candy corn inspired frozen ice pops.

Serves: Two silicone ice trays

Ingredients:

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 cup mashed pumpkin
  • 330mL petet milk
  • Silicone ice tray

  • Directions:

  • Mash bananas in a small bowl, then fill 1/3 of your ice tray with the mash.
  • Place this layer in the freezer and freeze until set.
  • Roughly chop your pumpkin into smaller size pieces, then place into a pot of boiling water until soft.
  • Remove the pumpkin from the stove top and place into a blender, adding water as necessary, until a smooth puree is formed.
  • Removed your tray from the fridge and pour the pumpkin mixture into the tray, leaving the final 1/3 empty which will be filled with the final layer.
  • Return to the freezer and leave until set.
  • Once frozen, remove the tray from the freezer and fill the remaining 1/3 of the tray with pet milk.
  • Return to the freezer and freeze until set.
  • Pop treats out and serve as desired.



  • Pumpkin Cattuccinos

    Pumpkin is in full force this time of year and there is nothing that says Halloween more than a Pumpkin Spice Latte. So, what better way to get your feline friends involved in the festivities that mixing their favourite milky treat with the taste of the season – introducing the pumpkin cattuccino!

    Serves: Four Cattuccinos

    Ingredients

  • 1 cup mashed pumpkin
  • 330mL pet milk
  • Feline Natural Lamb Green Tripe Freeze-dried Booster

  • Directions

  • Roughly chop your pumpkin into smaller size pieces, then place into a pot of boiling water until soft.
  • Remove the pumpkin from the stove top and place into a blender, adding water as necessary, until a smooth puree is formed.
  • Add in 200mL of pet milk and blend again.
  • Continue adding additional splashes of pet milk to achieve your desired consistency.
  • Once fully blended, pour into a pet friendly serving cup.
  • Crumble a handful of Feline Natural Lamb Green Tripe Booster on top of the mixture.
  • Serve to your cat and watch them dig in.

  • Pro Tip: Extra mixture can additionally be placed into a silicone ice tray and turned into a frozen treat.




    Pumpkin & Peanut Butter Biscuits

    There is no treat that is more well received than a tasty biscuit, so why not supercharge your recipe with some natural goodness. The festive taste of pumpkin meets the natural goodness of our Feline Natural Freeze-dried Cat Food, resulting in one tasty treat for your feline.

    Serves: 20 biscuits (depending on the size of your molds/tray)

    Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups Feline Natural Lamb Feast Freeze-dried Cat Food (or your cat’s favourite Freeze-dried flavour)
  • 1/4 cup mashed pumpkin
  • 1/8 cup smooth peanut butter (we prefer Fix & Fogg Smooth Peanut Butter)
  • 1 large egg
  • Pinch of salt

  • Directions

  • Preheat oven to 180c/350f.
  • In a large bowl, crush your Feline Natural Lamb Feast Freeze-dried Cat Food into a powder-like consistency.
  • Roughly chop your pumpkin into smaller size pieces, then place into a pot of boiling water until soft.
  • Remove the pumpkin from the stove top and place into a blender, adding water as necessary, until a smooth puree is formed.
  • Add the egg, Fix & Fogg Smooth Peanut Butter and pumpkin mixture to a sperate bowl and combine.
  • Combine your Feline Natural Lamb Feast Freeze-dried Cat Food with the wet mixture and add a pinch of salt.
  • Roll mixture into a ball and either place into your silicone cookie molds or mold to your desired shape.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, or until completely dry.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool before letting your cat dig in.
